batMite is back for the week. (spring break in her school district)
Went gtocery shopping and to see Taken today.
Oh and to watch the 3 or so inches of snow that fell last night melt.
Going to be a busy week with things planned for most nights.
Bowling susprisingly enough is one of her activities that she wants to do.
That and spend Dads money!

St Patricks Day Part 1
It started off like any other day and ended ust the same (soory for those looking for drama and self destruction. It was a pretty chill day)
Started of Saturday by heading to Fritz's with Wes and Contagion.
Yes that is a kilt on me. After years of wanting one I finally broke down and bought one. It did meet with the approval of Wes and Contagion (or maybe why thats they were chuckling behind me. Or the fact that I was going commando)
After a few there we headed back to Rockford to Caryles.
Again pretty uneventual and made our drunk selves to Mulligans.
Now I have been trying to find a close place here in Rockford after last year at Old Chicago. It got a bit crazy and while the patrons didnt mind us, the staff was none to pleased at the language (go figure) and the MASSIVE consumption of drink. (hey we are a merry bunch dammit!!!)
The usual continued through the night until the beer, time and the thump thump music started to take its toll on your humble writer.
Also I had to get SOME sleep as I was going to visit BatMite at her house on Sunday.
So really just good time, good drink, and good friends.
Next post will be my annual trip into Chicago.

IGOLD in Springfield
Thursday Contagion, J-Man and I headed to Springfield to participate in
Illinois Gun Owners Lobby Day.
Now I do not have a FOID card or own a gun but I do believe that a person does not need to have any government step in and tell them what they can and cannot do. I am a supporter of a persons right to own a firearm.
The other cool part was that I was able to see our state capitol. Even though our state is really messed up, I still think that every person needs to see where their elected officials they voted for work.

Busy week
BatMite is back with her mom and the work week looms.
Working on Monday and Tuesday, taking a trip to Springfield with Contagion and Baby Jesus on Wed and Thursday, then Friday having a poker party in the Batcave then Saturday the annual St patricks day outing, Sunday a trip to Batmites, then Monday, Tuesday and Wed spending it downtown Chicago.

This was faked too!
I saw this on the news today
China's Chang-e space probe to made a planned crash landing onto the lunar surface yesterday.
The 16-month journey was the first leg of China's moon mission, which is expected to lead to a soft landing and the launch of a rover vehicle by 2012, Xinhua news said. In 2017, China will launch a second rover, which will gather geological samples and take them back to Earth.
Now for real...this isnt real. China needs to have some positive news afer the whole lead toys scandal so what better was to do this then fake another moon mission.
I bet that this was all done on a soundstage and the video doctored. I will be really interested to see what comes next on this! I wont believe that people ever set one foot on the moon until I see it with my own eyes!

The Newest Addition
Everyone meet Easton Patrick Huff
In high school there were a group of us that called ourselves The 6 Pack. We have all kept in touch though the years and have been though the good and bad times. Losses and laughs.
Now through the roughest of times our friend Pat was the one who always wanted kids and had the toughest time.
Now I am pleased to say that the 6 Pack is growing into a Case!!!!

saturday Night
Started of by working Sat morning.
This never makes the day go good.
Had our local indoor football team have their preseason game. The score was like 95 to 45. I really dont remember much after leaving only that my car is finally back at home after getting exactly 2 blocks from the house then stopping.
I was supposed to meet Contagion, ktreava and Grau at Fritz's for a few more beers. I am hoping that it was fate that I did not go back out.
